it's me again

it's a picture of matt death note because he has a striped shirt and i watched nightmare on elm street and freddy has a striped shirt so yeah. i haven't really been watching any movies. i forget if i watched anything between the exorcist and nightmare on elm street. anyway. i watched nightmare on elm street as you (non-existent person) have already heard. and then i watched the second nightmare on elm street. ugh. i barely even remember the first one any more. like ok it was just another one of those movies about straight teenagers who are actually closer to 30 then they are teenagers but anyway they are very straight. i wish someone i liked would climb thru my window. there's nothing to say about it like it was the same as all those other 80s and 70s horror movies. the boiler room made me think "oh whats that show... recess??? detention?? no not that. flying rhino junior high."

the second one was pretty weird. why did they call it freddy's revenge. wasn't the first movie also freddy getting revenge??? how much of what happened in this movie was even supposed to be real. also way too much dude nipples in this movie. i complain about all the straight teenagers in these movies but the gay aspect of this movie was weird.

and then ok the movie i forgot i watched but i saw it in my library borrowing history: silence of the lambs. were there even any moths in this movie. i expected moths to be more of a thing. it was better than most of these movies simply because the main character was not a teenager. yay. idk it was kinda interesting but forgettable. quid pro quo as we go~~~ oh that part where you think that guy is the guy but actually its hannibal that was good i guess

ALSO i watched longlegs in theatre. it sure also was a movie with a female fbi agent as the main character. it was kinda whatever like they set up that kinda psychic thing in the start but then it just disappeared. and did the doll stuff really make any sense? or am i just dumb. when will i watch a horror movie that actually makes an impact.

here's another blog entry no one will read

late post, but okay. no one is reading this. if you are reading this i guess you're the special-est person in the world. you are cod's chosen kitten or whatever the fuck. anyway since last time i have viewed the following three "horror" movies... DUN DUN DUN

resident evil. the ice nine kills song is called a rainy day. there is no rain in this movie. most of it happens underground. i think i read that the second movie has rain in it????? maybe that was in the lyrics page on genius dot com. it was different from the movies i watched so far, but i still really didn't care about any of the characters. the cgi was pretty stupid looking at times. there was a creature. idk.

then scream. ok at first i was like yeah this movie wastes no time. the beginning was pretty promising. but ehh... i got too used to these hour and a half movies and THIS FELT SO LONG. SO MANY characters who are supposed to be teenagers but they look so old. i guess that's probably supposed to a be a reference to all the other movies that are like that. but still.

and last night i watched the exorcist which is not an ice nine kills movie but it was in theatre as a special event type thing. again it was quite a different movie. the happy family scenes between the mother and daughter made me think that i might actually care once stuff started happening, but i really didn't. it wasn't scary. no tension. the slime looked like it belonged in a no-budget ghostbusters fan-film.

for the right price you're just a pretty piece of meat!!!!!!!

this post is about hostel and....... MY BLOODY VALENTINE! welllllllll i had fun watching these two movies. actually, i watched hostel in the middle of the week. as punishment for thinking i failed a test (i passed it tho). i love wurst vacation so much, it's my fave INK song!!!! so i was kinda scared to watch hostel because maybe it would disappoint me or maybe it would be too gross. well, it kinda disappointed me. it was less torture-y than i expected xD all the tools on the dvd make you think the torturers are going to have a LOT of fun with them... ehhh kinda disappointing. so much boob screen time in this movie I DON'T REALLY MIND but i wish the brunette girl tortured one of the guys....... TT__TT i wish any girl tortured somneone. hmu

then on the weekend i watched MBV - heard u liek hot dog water........... this movie had really creative kills and i thought the effects were really good. the scenes down in the mine were actually kind of creepy. compared to halloween and friday the 13th this movie was soooooo much better. everything they lacked, MBV had it. i might be biased but yeah the setting and the characters felt way more realistic? idk. i liked it. the ending song is a banger

PSYCHO KILLER qu'est-ce que c'est?????

time for a post with a slightly more relevant pic... it's psycho on VHS which was one of the movies i watched this weekend. did i mention i've been watching all these movies on a crappy old crt i got off the side of the road? but all the dvds are widescreen... but the vhs tape is 4:3. anyway, on to the actual movies!

friday night was hellraiser! i kinda had high hopes (yay p!atd) for this movie. it sounded cool. but it didn't really deliver. style over substance. except the effects weren't even that good. like the dude's face in pieces on the floor what was that LOL and the hooks going through "skin" like idk. it wasn't doing it for me. and like, the engineer? yeah if you saw something like that in real life, it'd be fucked but it's just a movie so it's just stupid looking. and again it's such a STRAIGHT PEOPLE movie. and so 80s. i ordered the dvd of the second one cuz i want to see if the effects get any better...

saturday's movie was psycho, the 1998 version. i kinda wonder if it would have been better to watch the original? would it be creepy in black and white? i might try watching that one at some point. i don't have much to say about this movie. the song is better than the movie! maybe i knew too much about the movie? the motel should have been creepier looking. the average motel is creepier looking i think.

then on sunday i watched another movie, but not even an ice nine kills movie! i wanted to see a horror movie in a theatre, so i went and watched the strangers. i don't know if it's just because it was in a theatre, or if it was because it's not an 80s movie, or what, but aaah, finally some tension LOL loud parts are really loud in a theatre though... and like yeah it was kinda stupid but i thought it was better than some of the other stuff i've been watching. like i was actually wondering if they were going to survive or not...

watching straight kids get killed in the woods

random death note picture wooot!!!! it is time again, my dear sweet void, to write about the movies i watched this weekend. first was friday the 13th. i watched it on saturday and not friday. horrible, i know.

it was better than halloween. in the beginning it was like, yeah annie is ok (lol) she is talking to a dog so that's cute. she didn't stick around long tho. this movie wasn't scary and the effects weren't very impressive. that older guy (was his name steve) looked so stupid when he was shirtless and wearing jorts like everything about his whole look was so bad. the make-up for kid jason was creepy but like. wow deformed looking child is creepy. wow. somehow it feels hard to remember much of anything to say about this movie. TGIF is a really good song in terms of including a lot of details from the movie and doing them well. probably one of the best, like hip to be scared level.

then i watched cabin fever. this one was actually pretty fun other than the sex scenes Do Not Want umm give me a version of this movie with them cut out and i'd rewatch it. kinda funny to compare this movie to texas chainsaw massacre. the group of young people going on a trip and fucked up stuff happens in their vehicle and people die and there is weed. but cabin fever is more silly and the colour palette isn't so desaturated. anyway, my favourite part was when that one guy fell in the water where the burnt corpse was. also i liked the part where one of the guys fell asleep with his head on the other guy's shoulder. nice. also squirrels are gay. and omg the ending LMAO also when that guy was touching the blonde girl under the blanket and his hand comes up covered in blood like hahahaha periods. not.

also the bunny guy in the hospital. omg like cabin fever has so many things. it's so silly. is hostel this silly i wish hostel would be silly but i feel like it probably isn't.

silver screaming again

wooo random pic! okay let's go!! this past weekend i watched two more movies that ice nine kills songs were based off of! child's play and texas chainsaw massacre! exclamation points!!!!!!

after the disappointment that was halloween, i figured i could watch ANYTHING and it would be better than that, so i watched child's play, and actually it was awesome! the effects and puppetry and animatronics and everything were so good. it's amazing how much work was put in to making chucky come to life and it was worth the effort. they were so fricking good at movie effects back then! and the car scene was awesome. knife up TEH BUTT. almost. plus this movie had cool explosions

on the other hand, texas chainsaw massacre. nah. honestly savages isn't a bad song on its own, but in terms of movie tie-in it's not the great compared to the other INK songs. like put in a line about how you'll be HOOKED or something about the piano like why didn't they do more with this song. compare this song to hip to be scared, there's no competition. but yeah, the movie is soooo whatever too. like. was it better than halloween. well maybe. halloween is very dark all the time, tcm is very desaturated all the time. tcm can make u happy to be vegetarian (not that it was necessary) and plus it's like the opposite of copaganda but that's really the best i can say about it.

the silver scream!!!!!!

hahahahaha i have come up with a good use for this blog! in my last post i mentioned being obsessed with ice nine kills - well, i have started watching the movies that silver scream and welcome to horrorwood are based off of! so im going to write about them here because who the fuck would care

i already watched american psycho a couple of years ago. i hate it, but i love it. american psycho is a movie that does not Bury The Gays ok there's only one gay person but yeah. american psycho rocks for not killing luis. but also i love paul allen's death scene sooooooo much. i love paul allen's fake vacation i mean he totally goes on vacation yeah. i have to return some video tapes

the first movie i watched specifically bcuz of INK was pet sematary, but i watched the 2019 version and didn't know it was a remake lol it was kinda dumb but not bad but i feel like i already forget anything notable about it. like i remember the plot 100% (umm because ice nine kills) but i don't remember the experience of watching it??? or something idk

next i watched the fly! the 50s version and then the 80s version. the 50s version was pretty silly in all its 50s-ness. the little boy was so weird and like. im sure he wasn't supposed to be but he was so weird to me. the sets were kinda cool. andrefly sure was different from brundlefly......... it's crazy how different the two movies were. the 80s one was so gross! but it was funny when his ear fell off tbh.

then last night i watched halloween. IT WAS SO FRICKING BORING like huh????? it was kinda funny when the boyfriend was swinging upside down, dead. it wasn't even close to scary in any way and the plot and characters were boring, and there weren't any cool special effects or crazy make-up. why is the song so much better than the movie
